In Alaska, a land that once belonged to Russia, everything is ready for talks between DONALD TRUMP and VLADIMIR PUTIN. Experts believe that, within reasonable optimism, good results are expected for both leaders and their countries.

The Presidents of the U.S. and Russia will hold a summit this Friday, in Alaska. Afterward, they will hold a press conference to announce the details of what has been agreed upon.

DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States, could pressure his Russian counterpart, VLADIMIR PUTIN. At Friday’s meeting to commit to an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine as a gesture of goodwill for peace.

Conforming to U.S. media outlets such as the New York Post, TRUMP would see it as a major achievement to obtain PUTIN’s commitment ahead of peace talks involving Ukrainian President VOLODYMYR ZELENSKI.

Participants in TRUMP’s meeting with European leaders and Zelensky himself say that the U.S. president suggested that his priority at the meeting to be held in Alaska is a ceasefire.

“This is a moment that could define his legacy. If TRUMP stands firm and insists on a ceasefire before any (peace) talks, that the talks include European partners and contain security guarantees. He could achieve something worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize,” Democratic Senator RICHARD BLUMENTHAL said on Thursday.

On Wednesday, TRUMP warned that Russia would face “very serious consequences” if a ceasefire was not reached in Ukraine. On the other hand, TRUMP assured that ZELENSKI could join the summit in Alaska if Friday’s meeting with PUTIN goes well for his interests.

“I don’t know where we’ll have the second meeting. But we have three different locations in mind, and we’ll include the possibility of staying in Alaska, because it would be much easier,” TRUMP said in an interview with Fox News radio

For now, TRUMP and PUTIN plan to hold a joint press conference. When the meeting in Alaska concludes, the White House said, regarding the development of the presidential event.
