San Antonio, TEXAS.-Mortal Effects of ‘the coronavirus’ on the planet Earth are still feeling. The World Economy goes into recession. And the worst continues to cause deaths in over 203 countries. It is unknown when all this will stop, in opinion of experts.
“…The World Economy entered into recession due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic”, KRISTALINA GEORGIEVA, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said last Friday.
“…It is now clear that we have entered a recession, as bad or worse than in 2009,” she said in a video conference of the International Monetary and Financial Committee.
GEORGIEVA noted that The Agency expects a “considerable rebound” in the economy in 2021, “but only if we manage to contain the coronavirus everywhere, and prevent liquidity problems from becoming a solvency problem.”
The Bulgarian emphasized, that: “…One of the main concerns of the IMF is that there is a “wave” of bankruptcies and layoffs that will affect not only the progress of the economy, but the very composition of societies around the world.”
Ms. GEORGIEVA highlighted : “… The actions taken to deal with the crisis, such as the injection of $5 trillion into the world economy announced on last Thursday by the Group of 20 (G20).”
“…For many emerging economies, the reduction in global demand affects their exports, in tourism and manufacturing and in general. It has impacted them in the outflow of capital for 83 billion dollars, with effects on their currencies,” said the director of the Fund.
On March 26, Russian President VLADIMIR PUTIN proposed during the G20 virtual summit to create a special common fund, sponsored by the International Monetary Fund, so that each member of this body would be entitled to loans.
In Turn, summit participants agreed to provide the World Health Organization (WHO) with financial resources for the fight against the coronavirus. At the same time, they expressed their support for keeping markets open and contributing to international trade.
Chinese President XI JINXING called last Thursday for a determined global all-out war against the outbreak of the COVID-19 when leaders of the Group of 20 (G20) held an extraordinary summit to coordinate the multilateral response to the pandemic.
“…Calling the serious infectious disease the enemy of all”, XI said the international community must comprehensively intensify international cooperation and promote greater synergy so that humanity can win the battle against the COVID-19 through a video link in Beijing.
The COVID-19 pandemic has so far left more than 30,105 dead worldwide, said World Health Organization (WHO) director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. From Geneva, Switzerland, the UN official stressed that the balance is tragic. And 638,146 confirmed cases in 203 countries.
Wuhan’s 11 million inhabitants were subjected to very strict confinement in mid-January. Neighbors were forced to stay home, the army imposed exit controls, and the city underwent a radical change in life.
More than 50,000 Wuhan(China) residents were infected with COVID-19, which apparently emerged at a city market where wild animals were sold for human consumption. Good note: The Wuhan subway operated this Saturday, and some shopping malls will open next week.
The U.S. is the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, and continues to report thousands of cases, totaling 138,734 and 2,438 deaths. The DONALD TRUMP government faces a serious problem before COVID-19.
In Less than three days, the country had more than 50,000 cases, which means an acceleration in the number of COVID-19 infections, according to data from World Meters and Johns Hopkins University.
President TRUMP has deep ills such as the ‘economic recession’ in the country, and the CORONAVIRUS pandemic by the number of infections and deaths of Americans, which endanger his presidential reelection as appreciated by the US political analysts.
