“The information of that financial network -which the UIF qualified as a corruption and alleged money laundering scheme- is part of an extensive file, so far unknown and integrated in two preliminary inquiries (numbers SEIDF/CGI/013/15 and SEIDF/CGI/002/2016). These were opened in the Specialized Sub-Attorney in Federal Crimes Investigation, whose investigation is supported with financial, fiscal and patrimonial data contained in the criminal complaint UIF-2015.”
“According to the investigations carried out during the last six years by the main financial intelligence body of the federal government, documentary evidence and precise data were provided on financial movements, interbank transfers, deposits and withdrawals for hundreds of millions of pesos.”
“That were triangulated between the construction companies with the purpose, according to the UIF, of hiding the origin of the money resulting from acts of alleged corruption and benefiting individuals and companies.”
“However, despite all the documentary and testimonial information gathered by the UIF and the SEIDF, in the last year of ENRIQUE PEÑA NIETO’s administration, the PGR determined the” non-exercise of the criminal action”.
