San ANTONIO, TEXAS.- The Unfortunate statements made by Finnish President ALEXANDER STUBB, prompted MARIA ZAKHAROVA to lash out at the president, who compared Ukraine to Finland, in 1944.

The statement by ALEXANDER STUBB, in which he compared the possible agreement on the Ukrainian conflict with the Moscow Armistice signed in 1944 between the USSR and Finland. It came during TRUMP’s meeting in Washington with European leaders.

Senior Foreign Affairs Official ZAKHAROVA recalled that during World War II, Finland distinguished itself by fighting against the Soviet Union. It was even sides with Nazi Germany.

In 1944, Finland changed its stance by signing the Moscow Armistice. But only under pressure from the Red Army, which had launched a victorious offensive against Germany and its allies.
