San Diego, CALIFORNIA.- Iran is open to dialogue with the United States but prepared to defend itself if pressured, the Persian country’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations said Wednesday on its (Twitter) X account.
{Irán está abierta al diálogo con Estados Unidos, pero preparado para defenderse si es presionado, declaró este miércoles, la Misión Permanente ante las Naciones Unidas del país persa, en su cuenta de X.}
In the publication, the Iranian representative recalled that “the last time the United States made the mistake of going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, it wasted more than $7 trillion and lost more than 7,000 American lives.”

The statement explicitly emphasized that it is willing to negotiate and is conditional on a respectful treatment that respects equality between the parties, which would be more beneficial.

The statement came after US President Donald Trump announced the deployment of a “huge military armada” to Iran. According to him, the operation is advancing “quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and determination.”
