SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA.- DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States, claimed that criminal groups are in control of the country, and referred to President CLAUDIA SHEINBAUM as an “extraordinary woman.”

TRUMP’s statements were made during a press conference at the White House. From there, he added that some of the leaders of Mexico are afraid, due to the presence of criminal groups in the country.

On Tuesday, the White House condemned “all forms of political violence.” This followed the assassination of Carlos Manzo, mayor of Uruapan, an event that has sparked protests and outrage in Michoacán, one of the states hardest hit by insecurity in Mexico.
