SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS.-Russian Foreign Minister SERGUEI LAVROV lashed out at French President EMMANUEL MACRON for his warlike statements about the history of Russia.

The chancellor recalled the statements of the French leader that “Russia has chosen for itself the way of war” and that it behaves as a state “which cannot reconcile with its history”.

“Well, it’s rude to despise Russia like that. We, of course, are above that and treat these kinds of statements not so much with contempt as with disdain,” LAVROV said.

In that context, the chancellor referred to the telephone conversation held last year by the president of Russia, VLADIMIR PUTIN, and his French counterpart, EMMANUEL MACRON, on the initiative of Paris.
