*** Group of Lawyers vs. Those Who Used to Not Pay

Mexico, City.- In view of the economic situation, the federal government is not planning any tax reform. Because official support covers 70 percent of the population, said President ANDRES MANUEL LOPEZ OBRADOR.
He also announced that he had set up a group of tax lawyers under his personal command to monitor evasion companies that refuse to settle their debts and have used subterfuge to prolong the litigation as much as possible.
The group of lawyers will work on those lawsuits against those who were used to not paying. They had law firms that already knew how to prolong the trials to the maximum, said the president.
“Now there is a team that depends on me, I am forming a team with lawyers who are very prepared and incorruptible. When a complaint is filed, it will be followed up.”
“If a judge put the complaint in the drawer or left it longer than necessary, that judge is going to be denounced to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation to end impunity. There is no need to raise taxes, it is just that we all comply”.
For the president, these supports include the lower-middle class and the “middle-middle” class, while he said the resources given to the popular classes will increase consumption, benefiting the middle sector which is largely associated with sales.
Mr. OBRADOR was questioned about a tax reform that opposed reducing the burden on the middle classes, who do not have access to social support or sufficient resources to alleviate the crisis.
LOPEZ OBRADOR dismissed the possibility of a tax reform “because our plan will benefit 70 percent of those from below. We are going to have to wait for direct intervention.”
He commented that for the remaining 30 percent not included in the direct support, the money directed to the most popular sectors will increase consumption, which is what a large part of the 30 percent of the population who are not included in the benefits of the crisis actions live on.
“It is not only a matter of humanism (supporting the popular sectors), it ensures social peace and helps 30 percent because there is no crime, no robbery, no kidnapping, the most precious thing is freedom and living in a society where there is justice, the technocrats have not understood this.”
In addition, he recalled that a tax reform was recently approved that has served no purpose because those at the top did not pay taxes and even well-known politicians benefited from it because they had influence in the courts. On the other hand, “the common people and the middle classes” did not get anything.
