San ANTONIO, TEXAS.- On Wednesday, January 21, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) denounced the demolition of parts of its main compound in occupied Jerusalem. It described the act as a direct violation of the diplomatic immunity of international facilities. Information released by the UN.

The agency’s commissioner-general, PHILIPPE LAZZARINI, maintained that the Israeli occupation government has no legal right to this property and that the actions taken represent a deliberate challenge to global norms.

The demolition operations were carried out with the direct participation of Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, which was interpreted by the organization as an act of political provocation.

Given the seriousness of the situation, UNRWA demanded an immediate end to the incursions, recalling that Israel’s presence in Jerusalem is illegal under international law and must end in order to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
