Mexico, City / Miami, Florida.-Amid Scenery that continue is being severe, in US, hits more 100,000 deaths from the coronavirus. The SpaceX space mission with two astronauts on board is waiting for a successful transit. Its destination is the International Space Station.
The Launch of the Falcon rocket with the Dragon Crew capsule, on which veteran astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken will travel, was scheduled for 4:33 pm ET this Wednesday from platform 39A of the Kennedy Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
On board two TESLA all-terrain vehicles, the astronauts were transported to platform 39A, who always showed themselves to be ready to fulfill their space mission. However, last wednesday the mission was cancelled, in order to reschedule it for Saturday, May 30.
Bad weather postponed a SpaceX rocket launch, which was set to be the first time a private company sent humans into orbit — and the first time in nearly a decade that the United States launched astronauts into orbit from U.S. soil.
Planned backup dates for the mission known as Crew Dragon Demo-2 are Saturday at 3:22 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. The weather for both backup dates stands at 60% “go,” according to the Space Force’s latest forecast.
It is the first manned flight of these characteristics operated by a private company, because although Virgin Galactic has already made manned flights into space, they have been to an altitude lower than that required to reach the ISS.
Test Launch, called the Demo-2 mission, will also mark the first time that NASA will send astronauts to the ISS aboard a privately built spacecraft. And it will put the U.S. on a leadership path in space missions according to experts.
The Last Time that the US sent astronauts from Florida was on the final flight of the NASA, on shuttle in July 2011. Doug Hurley a 53-year-old veteran astronaut, was the pilot of that mission.
Beginning of the new era of space exploration is already dated. On Saturday, May 30, NASA and SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket, with a Crew Dragon capsule and two astronauts, to the International Space Station (ISS), announced NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.
“…It will be a Historic Moment for many reasons. To begin with, it will be the first time since 2011 that NASA has organized a manned mission from U.S. territory.”
“…Although the organization has not stopped sending astronauts to the ISS, it has had no choice but to rely on third parties like Russia and its Soyuz. Saturday will be different,” divulges the specialists.
SpaceX this mission will represent the first transport of people into space. The first of many, says Elon Musk. The billionaire’s goal is to regularly transport tourists and astronauts to Mars with his ‘Starship’.
President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, some White House officials, and former astronauts are ready to witness the historic launch, in person next Saturday conforming with The White House.
