San Antonio, TEXAS.- U.S. President DONALD TRUMP described the attitude of his Russian counterpart, VLADIMIR PUTIN, as “very respectful.” PUTIN agreed to meet on U.S. soil for the meeting between the two leaders, which will take place, on August 15 in Alaska.

In the opinion of the U.S. president, this could be a preliminary meeting with a view to convening a trilateral meeting in the future to look at other situations and problems that require our attention.

“It seemed to me was very respectful of the Russian president [VLADIMIR PUTIN] to come to our country. Instead of us going to his, or even holding the meeting in a third place. But I think we will have constructive talks,” he said during the press conference.

He also pointed out that the meeting with PUTIN would be preliminary. In this context, he emphasized that, following his meeting with the Russian leader, he hopes that another meeting between PUTIN and ZELENSKI will take place, or a trilateral summit in which the latter participates.

“The next meeting will be between ZELNESKI and PUTIN, or ZELENSKI, PUTIN, and me. I will be there if they need me, but I want a meeting between the two leaders to be organized,” the US president added.
