*** The Electoral Forecasts For The PRI Are Too Disappointing
Mexico, City.- Corruption is a severe problem for Mexico, that ranks as the 95th least-corrupt country in the world according to International Economic Organizations.
Some economists estimate, which endemic corruption costs the country anywhere from 2 to 10 percent of its GDP annually. It doesn’t help that scandal to the White House of Pena Nieto has been tied to the awarding of government contracts.
Another national problem is the crime. The rise of crime was crystallized by the brutal murder of 43 students by drug gangs, which shocked the country and triggered nationwide protests.
Mexico’s murder rate of 14 per 100,000 is nearly three times higher than in the US. Some 80,000 people have been killed in the Mexican drug wars, sometimes by cartels, sometimes by local police they’ve paid off. No one is immune to the violence.
Although in the past during his government, President PENA NIETO did not recognize the country’s grave reality, perhaps because of political blindness. One’s days ago, he admitted the crude problematic of organized crime.
President Enrique Peña Nieto accepted in past days that the failure of his government in matters of security.
“Today we are obliged to recognize that the numbers are not encouraging and we are called to serve the security,” he said.
He added: “In the first three years there was a reduction in the commission of crimes, however, since 2016 insecurity has gained greater space in some regions.”
Peña said that despite those five years of failure, the last remaining to his administration will provide security and peace to Mexicans, working with society.
The Former Governor of the State of Mexico declared that morning, during the sixth National Forum we add causes to the Police + society.
The president of Cause in common, María Elena Morera was forceful to the executive:
“The violence that we live is not temporal or regional, it is endemic and of national scope.” Not only are we not reversing criminal indices and violence, but we are not making it. Our security systems, of justice, and of course also the penitentiary, are stagnant and can hardly worsen.”
The participants concluded which the violence in Mexico is endemic, and will not diminish because the security institutions are Stagnant.
Another bad aspect of The Government of PEÑA NIETO during more five years is that the economy, there is not an economic growth-friendly to the people. Mexico’s economic growth will slow to 1.9% in 2018 predicts International Monetary Fund. (IMF).
In this not positive scenario, the lives of millions of Mexicans are of total hardship, because there is no salary that reaches to satisfy the minimum economic problems of the home.
