San ANTONIO, TEXAS.- DONALD TRUMP and VOLODIMIR ZELENSKI decided not to discuss the possibility of the United States providing Tomahawks missiles to Ukraine. This was to avoid an “escalation” with Russia, according to the press conference in Washington.

“Let’s hope they (Ukraine) don’t need them. Hopefully we can end the war without thinking about the Tomahawks. I think we are pretty close to achieving it, TRUMP told the press before meeting with ZELENSKI, at the White House.”

After the private meeting, US President DONALD TRUMP stated on social networks that their different conversations were very interesting and cordial.

TRUMP said a few weeks ago that he believed Ukraine could regain all of its territory. But, after agreeing on Thursday to meet with Russian President VLADIMIR PUTIN for a new summit in Hungary, he changed his mind.
{TRUMP dijo hace unas semanas que creía que Ucrania podría recuperar todo su territorio. Pero, después de acordar el jueves reunirse con el presidente ruso, VLADÍMIR PUTIN, para una nueva cumbre en Hungría, cambió de opinión.}
I told him, as I also strongly suggested to President PUTIN, that it is time to stop the killing and make a deal. They should stop right where they are. Let them both claim victory, and let history decide! said TRUMP.

For his part, ZELENSKI told reporters that although, he and TRUMP discussed long-range weapons. “It was decided that we would not talk about it because (…) the United States does not want an escalation.”
{Por su parte, Zelenski declaró a periodistas que aunque él y Trump conversaron sobre armas de largo alcance, “se decidió que no hablemos de eso porque (…) Estados Unidos no quiere una escalada”.}
To push for the delivery of missiles, ZELENSKI stated that he would be willing to exchange “thousands” of Ukrainian drones. This situation caused enormous hilarity and was described as a crude maneuver in his country, Ukraine.
{Para impulsar la entrega de misiles, Zelenski afirmó que estaría dispuesto a intercambiar “miles” de drones ucranianos. Una situación que causó enorme hilaridad que fue calificada como una burda maniobra, en su país: Ucrania.}
TRUMP replied that the United States produces its own drones and has quite a few, but “you never know what’s going to happen,” and they (Ukraine) make very good ones.”

During their meeting in Washington, ZELENSKI presented to TRUMP with “maps” showing possible targets to attack in Russia, a source from the Ukrainian delegation told reporters.

These maps show pressure points in the Russian defense and military economy that can be attacked to force PUTIN to end the war,” the source explained.

The Kremlin said on Sunday that it was deeply concerned about the possibility of the United States supplying Tomahawks missiles to Ukraine, warning of a possible escalation in the conflict.
