San Antonio, TEXAS.-“Millions of Mexicans have lived perhaps in decades. In their quest to achieve the American Dream, they crossed the American continent, risking their lives. Many of them met their death, in their quest for a better life.”

The same thing happened with Irish, Italians, Greeks, Chinese, and other nationalities, who saw the US as a country that could offer them a better life for themselves and their families. Migration to the land of Uncle Sam is not a recent phenomenon; it has been going on for many years.

The protests began last Friday in the cities of Paramount and Compton, in Los Angeles County, California. After Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducted immigration raids and arrests on charges of violating immigration laws, according to local media reports.

In response to these events, US President DONALD TRUMP, ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to the area. Around 300 uniformed personnel arrived in the city on Sunday.
