San ANTONIO, TEXAS.-Although the Ukraine vs. Russia war scenario occupies, a good part of the news in several countries. The world’s attention is focused on the U.S. mid-term elections, which will be held on November 8, analysts say.
It will be decided there: which party, Democrat or Republican, will control the majority of the 435 members of the House of Representatives. And 30 of the 100 Senators. This will not only be important, but will be key to the presidential election in 2024, in opinion of the experts.
Inside the walk that DONALD TRUMP is taking. In his eagerness to be a protagonist in the Republican Party, in the presidential nomination. He does not realize that, the -black clouds- continue to increase in his deteriorated image, as an improvised politician, as stated his critics.
“Chaos, violence left. An Attack to the solid pillars of exemplary U.S. Democracy. Date: January 6, 2021. Unusual was: when a horde of savages (mentally retarded) tries to demolish the U.S. Capitol, in Washington, DC.”
“Suddenly, a guy like DONALD TRUMP, tenant of the White House has the audacity, that by means of -violence- of his followers tries to stop a national decision that JOE BIDEN would become the U.S. President. By attacking the Capitol that would judge the presidential election.”
“…Before the New York Supreme Court, The TRUMP Organization, parent company of DONALD TRUMP, his family, and his most loyal executive, were formally charged with 15 criminal counts.”
“…Although The former President TRUMP was not personally charged. The Case now puts his economic and political future at risk. This could seriously -jeopardize- his ‘dream’ of being a presidential candidate in 2024. ” These some facts are discussed in the U.S. Congress.
It is now known that former President DONALD TRUMP signed legal documents challenging the 2020 election results, that included allegations of voter fraud. He knew to be false, a federal judge said in a ruling issued in recent days.
In an 18-page opinion, U.S. District Judge DAVID CARTER ordered that those emails TRUMP exchanged with the attorney JOHN EASTMAN be turned over to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the federal Capitol. He said those emails cannot be withheld, because they include evidence of possible wrongdoing.
“The emails show that President TRUMP knew the specific voter fraud numbers were wrong. But continued to promote those numbers, both in court and to the public,” CARTER wrote.
TRUMP’s negative reputation for legal matters is such that among the Republicans, there are voices that warn that it is difficult for him to be a presidential candidate again in 2024. Since from Florida talk that, Governor RON DE SANTIS is preparing for the internal election.
Meanwhile, in the Democrat Party, President JOE BIDEN cherishes the idea of being his party’s presidential candidate, in 2024. Before that, however, he will have to face the serious problems of the economy, and deliver positive results in the opinion of political scientists.
A group of Quebec MPs recently elected during provincial elections refused Wednesday to swear allegiance to King CHARLES III, Canada’s head of state, as required by the Constitution.
Eleven MPs from the left-wing Quebec Solidaire party took the oath in a speech broadcast on television “to the people of Quebec.” But refused to take the oath that binds them to the British crown, at the risk of not being able to take their seats in the Quebec National Assembly, at the end of November.
Their party spokesman, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, assured a press conference that they had acted “in full knowledge of the facts”. We campaigned for a change of era in Quebec, and if we were sent to Parliament, it is to open a door,” he added.
Under Canada’s Constitutional Act, any MP elected at the federal or provincial level must take an oath of allegiance to the British monarchy in order to serve.
Swearing allegiance to the British crown has always been a source of conflict in Quebec, a largely French-speaking province, which held two referendums, in 1980 and 1995, to secede from the rest of Canada. On both occasions the majority voted no to independence.
Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, head of the party, said last week that it was “a conflict of interest” because “you cannot serve two masters”. Moreover, according to him, the monarchy costs “67 million Canadian dollars every year” and this oath is a “reminder of colonial domination”.
For his part, the Prime Minister of Canada, JUSTIN TRUDEAU, reaffirmed on Wednesday that “there was not a Quebecer” who wants to “reopen the Constitution”.
In fact, abolishing the monarchy requires rewriting the Constitution and the unanimous approval of Parliament and ten governments of the Canadian provinces, which can take years.
