San Antonio, TEXAS.-Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, VASIL NEBENZIA, condemned the US aggression against Venezuela. He expressed Moscow’s support for the Venezuelan authorities during his speech at the UN Security Council meeting.

“The banditry involving Venezuela’s leader, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Venezuelan and Cuban citizens, has become, in the eyes of many.”

NEBENZIA stated that “there is and can be no justification for the crime cynically committed by the United States in Caracas” and condemned this act of aggression, which “violates all international legal norms.”

In this context, the Russian representative urged the US to release Venezuelan President NICOLAS MADURO and his wife, CILIA FLORES. “We express our firm solidarity with the people of Venezuela in the face of external aggression and fully support the Bolivarian government’s policy aimed at protecting the national interests and sovereignty of the country,” he said.

The Chinese leader’s statements came after Beijing’s previous criticism of Washington’s attacks on Venezuela. Earlier, Chinese Foreign Minister WANG YI said that no country should assume the role of international police or judge.
